Little Tangles and Seven Hills Crafts Challenges – One year of blogging

Hello, It was a very busy month and I finally managed to make new card. This card is made for two challenges, Neat and Tangled Challenge blog and the Seven Hills Crafts Challenge blog. Also, It is my first anniversary of blogging and wanted it to make extra special. 🙂 The year passed very fast, a lot of positive things happened and I am really happy that I opened this blog. I am glad that I managed to post regularly and receive recognition for my work.

Here is my card:

I started by trimming my watercolor paper to a standard A2 card. Next I inked Bundles of Blossoms stamp from My Favorite Things with black ink and stamped it on a watercolor paper. While it was still wet I sprinkled clear embossing powder over the stamped image and heat set it with a heat gun. I decided to color just part of the stamped image to make it more interesting. I used distress ink for the coloring. I tried to use one of the color combos from the Seven Hills Crafts challenge.

Once everything was dried I took stitched circle die from the Simon Says Stamp and die cut the center of the watercolor piece. Then I took one of the stitched frames from the Pretty Pink Posh and die cut the right edge of the watercolor piece. In the circle hole I decided to place my sentiment. I stamped “dreams do come true” from the Neat and Tangled on small piece of watercolor paper. I used clear sticky ink for stamping and after I sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and heat set it with my heat gun. Next I made this dreamy background for my sentiment. I used the same colors that I used for coloring the flowers and black as additional one. When I got the wanted look with ink blending I made splashes with water and after the water dried with gesso.

20161016_155517For my card base I used white card stock. On the right edge I glued black strip. Then I adhered my sentiment piece in the middle of a card base and after that my main watercolor piece. I added few details with white gel pen and adhered few gems and clear sparkling sequins from the Pretty Pink Posh. I am really happy with the result, it is just like I imagined it to be. 🙂

If you want to participate in the Neat and Tangled challenge click on the image bellow. Theme for this month is “coloring”.
