Merry Christmas everyone! 😀 I made a lot of cards for this Christmas and I have sent most of them but I just haven’t had time to share them. This card is also for Simon Says Stamp Flickr and Wednesday challenges. The theme of the Flickr challenge is “Anything Goes” and of the Wednesday Challenge is “Make It Sparkle”. If you want to participate in the Flickr challenge click here, and if you want to participate in the Wednesday challenge, click on the image bellow.
I started my card by trimming my watercolor paper to a standard card size. Then I blended different shades of orange and red all over it to get a really nice saturation of colors. After that, I made few splatters with water and sprinkled the whole piece with glitter embossing powder. Next, I heat set it with the heat gun. After that, I took white a piece of card stock that is the same size as my ink blended piece and die cut the circle holes all over it. Die that I have used is circle die from the Stitched Circles die set from the Simon Says Stamp. On the back, my die cut piece I adhered an acetate sheet that perfectly covers all my holes.
I decided to fill some holes with micro beads and turn them into shakers and some with cute Mama Elephant reindeer. I stamped three reindeer’s, bird, presents and trees on a watercolor piece, colored them with distress inks and cut them out with precision scissors. I glued reindeer and bird in the background behind the circles that are near the edge. Trees and presents I glued behind the full circles. In the middle circle, I stamped the sentiment with clear sticky ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder and I heat set it with the heat gun.
Next, I took a foam tape and I adhered it around the three full circles to turn them into small shakers. I filled them with silver and clear micro beads and on the back of if I adhered the ink blended piece. I needed something black so I stamped Christmas wishes stamp from Wplus9 on a black card stock. For stamping, I used clear sticky ink and white embossing powder.
It took me a lot of time to make it but it was totally worth it. 🙂
Merry Christmas! :*
